About Us

Copper Crow Fiber Co. is a Western fiber mercantile rooted in Wyoming — a thoughtfully gathered collection of yarn, tools, handmade goods and curious finds for people who make things.

I started Copper Crow because I wanted a yarn shop that reflected the way I think about making: beautiful materials, honest craftsmanship and a connection to place.

Here, Wyoming is more than where we’re from. It shapes the way we see things — wide skies, changing weather, ranches and open country, things made to last, and an appreciation for beauty that doesn’t need to be polished to be worth noticing.

That same thinking guides what comes into the mercantile. Wyoming wool. Regional dyers and makers. Natural fibers. Useful tools. Beautiful little things that make their way into a project bag simply because they belong there.

We don’t believe more is better. We believe better is better.

Why the Crow?

Because crows notice things.

They’re curious and clever. A little mischievous. They collect things that catch their eye, remember what matters and seem to understand that an ordinary object can become a treasure simply because someone stopped long enough to notice it.

That felt a lot like making.

Copper Crow is built the same way — slowly, thoughtfully, one good find at a time. Nothing needs to be here simply because everyone else carries it. If it belongs in the mercantile, it should have earned its place.

And when something wonderful turns up?

Well.

The crows hear it first.

Handmade. Windblown. Curious.
