Field Notes: Raven

Field Notes: Raven

If you've ever watched a raven in the sunlight, you've seen the illusion.

From across a field, the bird looks black.

Simple.

Solid.

Nothing more.

Then it turns.

Suddenly the feathers flash with deep blue, teal, violet, and silver before slipping back into shadow again. The colors were there all along. You simply had to catch them at the right moment.

This yarn reminds me of that.

At first glance, Raven feels almost understated.

But the more time you spend with it, the more it reveals.

Tiny flashes of blue emerge between stitches. Soft hints of teal appear where the light catches the twist. Deep violet settles into the shadows. Every movement changes what you see.

It's one of those colors that rewards curiosity.

HT Fingering by Wicked Tint Yarns is spun from 100% superwash merino with a firm high twist that creates exceptional stitch definition while adding the durability needed for projects you'll wear and love for years. With 437 yards per skein, it's equally suited for socks, shawls, lightweight garments, and textured accessories where every stitch deserves to shine.

At Copper Crow, we've always admired crows and ravens.

Not simply because they're beautiful.

Because they're observant.

Curious.

Always looking a little closer.

This yarn feels much the same.

It reminds us that some of the best discoveries aren't hidden.

They're simply waiting for the light to change.

Crow Note

Look twice. That's often where the wonder is.
